A Love Story Built on Service, Purpose, and Partnership


Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places — and for Spencer and Jillian, it started at the fire department.


In college, Spencer was working as a paramedic, and Jillian as an EMT. Long shifts, high-pressure moments, and a shared commitment to helping others naturally brought them together. Somewhere between calls and conversations, their connection grew into something more.


What started in the firehouse has now led them somewhere even bigger. Today, they’re both in medical school — side by side — working toward the same goal and building a future as the Drs. Sugden.


There’s something timeless about the water — the way light reflects off it, the calmness it brings, and the sense of stillness within a full and joyful day. That’s exactly the atmosphere Spencer and Jillian are drawn to as they plan their wedding.


They celebrated their love on the most beautiful day at Fort William Henry Hotel on the shores of Lake George — surrounded by sunshine, breathtaking views, and the people who mean the most to them. It was a day filled with so much joy, laughter, and quiet moments that felt straight out of a dream.
