Some love stories don’t begin with a grand moment — they begin on a playground.

Jack and Samantha first met when they were just four years old in preschool in Pittsford, New York. Back then, love looked like being pulled around on a sled during recess — simple, sweet, and completely unaware of what was to come.

As life does, their paths weaved in and out of each other’s worlds. Different elementary schools, the same middle school, the same high school — always nearby, but not quite together. That is, until junior year of high school, when Samantha found herself sitting right in front of Jack in math class.

They remained close friends, running in similar circles, always finding their way back into each other’s lives. And by the start of senior year, it became clear — their story wasn’t finished.

In September 2017, they chose each other again...and this time, it stuck.
