Venue Spotlight: The Sterling at Arrowhead
If you’re looking for a Western New York wedding venue that feels elegant, romantic, and completely designed around the wedding-day experience, The Sterling at Arrowhead Golf Club is definitely one to put on your list!
We had the opportunity to photograph many beautiful weddings at The Sterling, and we absolutely fell in love with this venue a little bit more each time. From the moment you arrive, there are so many gorgeous spaces to use throughout the day—which is something we REALLY appreciate as photographers and videographers!
One of our favorite features is the beautiful island ceremony space. Surrounded by water and accessed by a bridge, it creates such a romantic setting for an outdoor ceremony and an incredible backdrop for photos. Alyssa & Peter chose to have their ceremony outside, and it fit the elegant, upscale feel of their wedding perfectly.
And then there’s the reception space! 😍 The Sterling features more than 10,000 square feet of event space, with soaring cathedral ceilings, exposed beams, crystal chandeliers, and an incredible 32-foot glass wall that brings in so much natural light. It has that perfect combination of modern and timeless without feeling overly formal.
The venue also has a covered patio and balcony overlooking the golf course, giving guests places to step outside and enjoy the property throughout the evening. For us, it also means we have plenty of options for portraits! Between the water, bridge, golf course, landscaped grounds, architecture, and indoor spaces, we can create so much variety without having to take our couples off-site.
Another HUGE plus is being able to spend so much of your wedding day in one place. The Sterling offers getting-ready spaces, on-site catering and bar service, décor options, indoor and outdoor spaces, and plenty of beautiful areas for photos. Having everything right there can make the wedding-day timeline feel so much more relaxed—and gives you more time to actually enjoy your day instead of spending it traveling between locations.
From a photo + video perspective, that matters! We love venues where we can move from getting ready, to the ceremony, to portraits, cocktail hour, and the reception without constantly packing up equipment and driving somewhere else. It gives us more time to capture all of those candid, in-between moments that end up becoming some of our favorites.
Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, their reception felt sophisticated and upscale, and the entire property gave us so many different backdrops to tell the story of couple's wedding day.
