Alyssa & Peter | A Beautiful Wedding at The Sterling

There are some wedding days that feel extra special because our connection with the couple started long before they ever stood in front of us as bride and groom. Alyssa and Peter’s story with us actually began when we met Peter while photographing his best friend’s wedding. Years later, we had the opportunity to photograph Alyssa and Peter’s engagement session, and then finally their beautiful wedding day at The Sterling.

Alyssa and Peter’s own story began in San Antonio, Texas, with a first date at a pizza place, three glasses of wine, and an introduction that didn’t go quite as smoothly as Alyssa had planned! Thankfully, Peter wasn’t scared away, and what started that night grew into something pretty incredible.

One of Alyssa’s favorite memories from early in their relationship happened when they were “snowed in” at her tiny apartment in Texas. They had only been dating for about six months, didn’t live together yet, had no internet and suddenly had an entire week with nowhere to go and nothing to do. Instead of going stir-crazy, they played board games, created their own drinking Olympics and turned an otherwise boring week into a memory Alyssa would always look back on as one of the moments she knew Peter was the one.

Their story eventually took them from Texas to Maine, where Alyssa took a huge leap of faith, leaving her teaching job so they could finally live together. Then, on December 21, 2022—just before a huge Buffalo snowstorm—Peter asked Alyssa to marry him.

Fast forward to their wedding day, and everything came together so beautifully at The Sterling. Their outdoor ceremony was romantic and elegant, surrounded by greenery, water, and all of the people they love most. The entire day had such an upscale, timeless feel while still being warm, joyful and completely Alyssa and Peter.

We loved capturing all of the beautiful details, but even more than that, we loved documenting the little moments between them—the laughter, the looks, the excitement and all of those fleeting moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.

From meeting Peter at his best friend’s wedding, to photographing their engagement, to watching Alyssa walk down the aisle toward him, it has been so special getting to be a small part of their story.

Alyssa once told us that she had dreamed about the man she would marry her entire life and felt incredibly blessed to have found him. After getting to know these two and watching them celebrate their marriage surrounded by the people who love them most, it’s easy to see just how much they mean to one another.

Alyssa and Peter, thank you for trusting us to capture such a beautiful chapter of your lives. We hope you always find a way to make the ordinary days just as special as that unexpected week snowed in together in Texas. Congratulations to the new Mr. & Mrs. Inguaggiato! 🤍

Venue Spotlight: The Sterling

We absolutely LOVED photographing Alyssa & Peter’s wedding at The Sterling at Arrowhead Golf Club! This venue truly has so much to offer—not only is it gorgeous, but it was designed with the entire wedding day in mind. 🤍

The Sterling has over 10,000 square feet of event space, a beautiful bridal suite, indoor and outdoor spaces, a covered patio, balcony overlooking the golf course, and that incredible island ceremony space with the bridge and water surrounding it. And can we talk about that reception space?! The 32-foot glass wall, cathedral ceilings, exposed beams and crystal chandeliers are absolutely stunning. 😍 

They also offer on-site catering and bar service, getting-ready spaces, reception décor options, and beautiful manicured grounds with SO many different locations for photos—which, of course, we love! 📸

Alyssa & Peter’s day was the perfect example of just how beautiful a Sterling wedding can be. Their outdoor ceremony was gorgeous, the entire day felt elegant and upscale, and we had so many amazing places to photograph them without ever leaving the property.
